Accounting Horwitz, Horwitz, and Associates is a progressive family-owned law firm, located in Chicago's loop, who has represented Illinois' injured for over three generations.
We are passionate about seeking justice for those who have been injured and who may have been previously denied representation.
We are seeking to fill the role of Accounts Payable Clerk with our firm.
About the Role:
The A/P Clerk has previous experience, is resourceful, tenacious and detail oriented.
This person works as a part of our Accounting team completing daily financial tasks while supporting the needs of the firm and its clients.
The ideal candidate has strong time management skills and a thorough knowledge of A/P.
Familiarity with general ledger systems a plus.
Duties and
Responsibilities:

Processing high-volume payables and client distributions Reconciling credit card statements Maintaining cost-tracking system Other duties as assigned Success Factors /
Qualifications:
Advanced Computer Skills (Especially MS-Excel and Word) required Two years high-volume A/P experience preferred Able to work both independently and contribute to a positive team environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Effective written and verbal communications skills Efficient with time management and prioritizing multiple tasks at any given time Superior attention to detail and a high level of organization skills AA in Business / Accounting a plus Salary &
Benefits:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
